My latest slang pet peeve: "prolly." Please, make it stop.

written or spoken?

Do you just hate it when people type it, or when people cram syllables together and say it that way, too?

Oh. Hmm. I hadn't even considered the verbal case. Hmm. Yes, I think I hate that too.

Don't you just hate pet peeves!

Pet peeves are one of my pet peeves.

For some reason, finding out things that annoy other people pisses me off. I have pet peeves too, and I mention them to other people too. I guess I have a double-standard that way. Especially since I can't stand when "U" gets substituted for "you".

I think it goes back to a 4th grade teacher who on the very first day of class ranted about how she hated the overuse of "nice". She went on for at least half an hour. I reacted as I saw fit, which was to immediately write "NICE" in the biggest letters 8.5x11 paper would allow and hold it up. She was not amused to the extent the class was, and she made that clear to me over the rest of the year...

As for your pet peeve in particular, don't worry... It'll prolly^H^H^H^H^H^Hlikely go away soon.
