Dear Lazyweb,
In newspapers and magazines, there's often a small symbol that appears at the end of articles. For instance, The Economist ends articles with a little red square. A List Apart ends articles with a leafy branch thingy: see for yourself.
My question for you is, what are these things called? Is there some word of journalist jargon for them?

I have no real answer for you, but I find it very amusing that A List Apart refers to it in their markup as eoai - I can only assume End Of Article Indicator.

Depends on the pub
Every publication probably has a different word for them. It might depend on what a particular design program calls the icon. At my college paper, we called them endslugs. I don't really know why.Why do you ask?
